A Senior Scientist at VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland — a Finnish state-owned research organisation founded in 1942 — one of Europe's leading research organisations.
Since my school days, I have been driven by one quiet, persistent conviction: that science exists to make this planet greener and this world more peaceful. That conviction took its first form as a smokeless chimney in a school project, then as a diesel engine running on biodiesel doped with Cerium oxide nanoparticles during my Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering. My doctoral research at the Sustainable Energy Research Laboratory, Indian Institute of Technology Patna — a laboratory I helped conceive and build — focused on the thermo-mechanical behaviour of Zircaloy-4 nuclear fuel cladding tubes, contributing directly to safer nuclear reactors. As a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Paul Scherrer Institute, Switzerland, honoured with the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Fellowship, I investigated radiation damage and ageing effects in nuclear reactor pressure vessel materials.
I have grown up with a clear philosophy of contributing to the amelioration of humankind. To accomplish this, I communicate science and connect with the masses to foster scientific temperament and rational thinking. I engage with authorities for solutions to real issues, participate in discussions about social problems, and write about them on various online media platforms. At the same time, far from chaos, I silently strive to dissolve myself in the smile of others through various philanthropic activities.
❝ Science is the art of looking into the eyes of reality and then denying it. ❞
